The department deals with teaching Oral Anatomy & Tooth Morphology, Embryology, and Oral Histology for I BDS and Oral Pathology & Microbiology for II & III BDS during undergraduation. Our department is involved in training postgraduate students in the specialty of Oral Pathology and Microbiology. Our teaching module includes live demonstrations, slide discussions, clinical training, identification of hard and soft tissue specimens, histopathological and microbiological investigations, exfoliative cytology, and salivary analytical studies. We strive to provide a quality and accurate diagnosis for any histopathological evaluation. Our department is well equipped with advanced equipments for diagnostic purposes.

We have a well-maintained museum with formalin-fixed post-operative specimen, dental casts, models, posters to broaden the knowledge for students. The Oral Pathology department is actively involved in providing services to the patients in the areas of hematology, histopathology, cytology, and microbiology, and salivary analysis.
