The World Bicycle Day and World Environment Day was organised on 05.06.2023 with the theme: Solutions to Plastic Pollution. A cycle rally was organised from our college to Sothupakkam. The shop keepers in Sothupakkam were informed about the ill effects of plastic to environment and pamphlets were distributed. Our college interns and NSS-YRC committee members actively participated in this rally.
At afternoon, an informative session on environmental sustainability and protection was organised in association with Institutional Innovation Council at Conference hall. The guest speaker, Dr. Tholkappia Arasu gave an engaging speech on our role in protecting the environment and avoiding plastic through online webinar. Around 50 undergraduate students and interns participated in this programme.
